The Free Art and Technology Lab a.k.a. F.A.T. Lab is an artist group dedicated to pair Pop Culture with Open Source. [1] It is known for its' provocative works criticizing classic Copyright and Patents models in the field of media and creative technolgies. F.A.T. Lab supports and creates works for the public domains and new open licenses. The FAT network consists of artists, engineers, scientists, lawyers and musicians. They're commitment is to support "open values and the public domain through the use of emerging open licenses, support for open entrepreneurship and the admonishment of secrecy, copyright monopolies and patents."
